I live in a Rural part of Virginia about 1hr west of Richmond VA and 1.5hr south east of Charlottesville VA.
This indoor antenna performed well beyond my expectations for an $8 RCA electronic.
We could not afford Satillite TV and Cable was not offered in my area. This was the perfect fit for our needs. We only really wanted 2 channels FOX and CBS for our shows and FOOTBALL. What I got was something even better. We have 7 channels Richmond VA WRIC, Charlottesville CBS, NBC and NBC Weather-watch as well as Richmond-VA's the CW, Charlottesville FOX and ABC. Which is much more than we could have hoped for (simple, I know, in this age of 100 + channels) but it was what we wanted.
So as far as the picture goes: Amazing. We have a Sharp Aquos 46inch LED back-lit LCD 120hz TV Full 108-P And this HD antenna compliments it perfectly. Now I will be honest, the picture isn't as clear as you would get with Cable, but it broadcasts in 1080i and 480P and some channels in 480i. The picture is Crisp an clear. I couldn't ask for anything more. The best part? After purchase of the antenna, the TV is FREE. You can't possibly ask for something better. We save $50 + per month by having antenna, and we get the channels we want. (and we are in a RURAL WAY out there area)So 7 channles is awesome for us. I cannot speak to how this performs in cities or Suburbs. Only in my area. Don't bother with expensive antenna's or eye-sores like roof mounted antennas. BUY THIS if you live in a rural area and you'll be pleased. You'll save money over large antennas And Satillite and CABLE.
